2 of 3 Plummer Center escapees recaptured

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/15/2015) Two of the three work release offenders who fled the Plummer Work Release Center without permission Sunday night have recaptured, authorities said Tuesday.

Nycire Mills, 20, of New Castle, and Charles Hargroves, 21, of Wilmington, were taken into custoday by Department of Correction officers on Monday afternoon in Wilmington. Both were charged with escape after conviction and conspiracy, They were being held at Young Correctional Institution.

Mills had been serving a seven-month work release sentence for drug dealing. Hargroves had been serving a four-month work release sentence for carrying a concealed deadly weapon, said Jason Miller, spokesman for the Delaware Department of Correction.

Tommy Broomer, 19, of Newark, who remains at large, was serving a three-month sentence for violation of probation on a conviction of carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was wearing a black jacket when he went over a perimeter wall with the other two, Miller said.
