Tips bring arrests in Treadway Towers burglaries

DOVER, DELAWARE (4/11/2015) City police say tips from the public led to three suspects in burglaries at the Treadway Towers complex. Two have been arrested and a third is being sought by police.

Two company credit cards were taken during the burglaries at 9 E. Loockerman St. over the last weekend in March and later used at various locations in Dover, including Royal Farms, CVS, Walgreens and Target.

Within an hour after releasing surveillance images from Target on social media, police said, detectives were able to identify two suspects and later also named a third.

Matthew Trice, 21, a homeless man from Dover, and Courtney Oliver, 20, of the 200 block of Lotus St. in Dover, were taken into custody and charged with 18 crimes in connection with the burglaries at five establishments in Treadway Towers, including burglary, conspiracy, theft under $1,500 and unlawful use of credit card.

Police said Corbin Buzzard, 19, of the 200 block of Lotus St., is wanted on similar charges.

The offices burglarized were Christopher Asay Massage, Delaware Grange Mutual Insurance Co., Tranquil Spirit Massage, Ancient Way Massage and The Delaware Boys and Girls Club.
