NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (3/25/2015) Emergency bridge repairs have closed southbound Route 141 (Basin Road) where it crosses U.S. 13 near New Castle for about two weeks, DelDOT reports.
Severity of potholes in the bridge deck forced the emergency repairs, officials said.
Detour: Route 141 southbound to U.S. 13 southbound onto Route 273 eastbound and back to Route 141.
A contractor, Eastern Highway Specialists will be patching the bridge deck.
The bridge structure is structurally safe, according to DelDOT.
