MILLVILLE/OCEAN VIEW, DELAWARE (3/25/2015) Early completion of a project to install two concrete box culverts will allow reopening of Route 26 on Friday, DelDOT announced today.
While the route, also known as Atlantic Avenue, will reopen at Windmill Drive and at Central Avenue, some daytime lane closures will continue until May 15.
Temporary traffic signals on Central Avenue at Cedar Drive and at Windmill Drive will remain until that time.
To avoid delays, DelDOT is urging motorists to use alternate routes at peak travel times.
George & Lynch Inc. was the contractor for the culvert project.
