Schools delay Thursday openings due to cold

DELAWARE 1/7/2015 Delaware’s school districts have announced delayed openings for Thursday due to predicted frigid temperatures and sub-zero wind chills.

Appoquinimink, Brandywine, Caesar Rodney, Cape Henlopen, Capital, Christina, Colonial, Delmar, Indian River, Lake Forest, Laurel, Milford, New Castle County Vo-Tech, Polytech, Red Clay, Seaford, Smyrna and Woodbridge districts announced two-hour delays.

Sussex Tech announced a one-hour delay.

Many private and charter schools also plan delayed openings.
