MILFORD, DELAWARE (12/20/2014) City police say they have charged a Frederica man with the sexual assault of a minor and his wife was charged with tampering with a witness.
Lucas A. Messick, 25, was charged with three counts of second-degree rape and nine counts of unlawful sexual contact.
The assault allegedly happened between June 25 and Aug. 10 in the Milford area.
Messick turned himself in soon after the warrant was issued, police said. He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $103,000 cash bond.
Ashley M. Messick, 24, also surrendered to police after a warrant was issued. She was charged with tampering with a witness and attempted tampering with physical evidence and released on $6,000 unsecured bond.
