WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (12/6/2014) A young man was shot in Wilmington tonight and is in critical condition, authorities say.

The latest shooting in the city happened just after 9 p.m. in the 600 block of N. Scott St., police said.

The man, 22 years old, had multiple wounds to his upper body, said Cpl. Abigail Haas, spokeswoman for New Castle County paramedics.

He was taken to Christiana Hospital.

Wilmington police are investigating tonight’s shooting, which came a day after a triple shooting that left one man dead in the city. That was the 27th homicide in Wilmington this year, matching a record set in 2010.

Anyone with information on tonight’s shooting is asked to call Detective Pete Leccia at 302-576-3620.
