Wilmington brothers jailed after Rehoboth incidents

REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (12/3/2014) Two brothers from Wilmington are spending time in Sussex Correctional Institution after being arrested following a trespassing incident.

Rehoboth police investigated a prowling complaint at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Rehoboth Ave. about 12:15 a.m. Sunday. Officers were told by a resident that a man wearing black clothing was seen on the roof of the complex attempting to enter an apartment through a window.

He fled before police arrived, but officers said they spotted the suspect walking on Rehoboth Avenue and pulling on door handles of several businesses.

Mark L. Hilaman, 23, of Wilmington was arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct, police said.

As officers were processing Hilaman, police said, Richard A. Hilaman, 25, of Wilmington, made continuous calls and visits to the police department  regarding his brother. Richard Hilaman was charged with three counts of malicious interference with a 911 center.

Mark Hilaman was being held in lieu of $1,100 cash bail. Richard Hilaman was being held in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
