PRICES CORNER, DELAWARE (6/19/2015) Bales of hay on a stake-body truck caught fire this afternoon along Route 141 at Prices Corner, causing major traffic delays in the area, according to reports from the scene.
The fire broke out about 2:30 p.m. at the Kirkwood Highway (Route 2) overpsass.
Elsmere, Belvedere, Cranston Heights and Hockessin firefighters responded to extinguish the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
All northbound lanes of Route 141 were closed, with one lane getting by on the left shoulder.
At 3:20 p.m., traffic was still backed up before the Boxwood Road overpass.
The Route 2 ramps from Route 141 also were closed.
