NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (6/15/2015) Two people tried to rob the Krispy Kreme donut shop on U.S. 13 but fled empty handed when employees refused their demand for money, New Castle police reported today.
The robbery try happened just before midnight Friday.
The robbers were described as male and female, with their faces partially covered, Senior Lt. Adam Brams said.
The male had a handgun, and the pair fled in a waiting vehicle.
Brams asked anyone with information to call 302-322-9800.
He said police are reviewing video footage of the incident.
