STANTON, DELAWARE (4/20/2015) A tractor-trailer and a pickup truck collided in heavy rain on southbound Interstate 95 near the Route 1 exit this morning, with the trailer overturning and keeping two busy on-ramps closed for more than 12 hours.

The accident happened about 5:45 a.m. and DelDOT reported the ramps from Route 1 and Churchmans Road to southbound I-95 were finally reopened at 6 p.m.

A DelDOT traffic cam showed two cranes had been brought in to help right the trailer in early afternoon.

The tractor-trailer ended up on the ramp and the pickup ended up heading the wrong way on the left shoulder of the interstate, according to reports from the scene this morning.

No injuries were reported.
