DELAWARE (12/8/2014) Flooding of creeks and rivers in northern Delaware is possible Tuesday as a nor’easter dumps 2 inches of rain or more across the state, the National Weather Service says.
The sky was spitting light snow flurries in Kent and Sussex counties around 8:30 this morning, but little or no snow is expected in Delaware from the nor’easter over the next two days. But the storm may dump 8 inches of snow in mountainous areas of eastern Pennsylvania and New York.
The weather service issued a flood watch for New Castle County from Tuesday morning until Tuesday night.
Minor tidal flooding also is expected on the Delaware coast Tuesday and Wednesday.
