WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (12/5/204) State highway officials say various closures and detours are planned as work nears an end at the I-95 and U.S. 202/Concord Pike interchange.
The Delaware Department of Transportation is urging drivers to take I-495 during these closures, which begin Monday.
Weather may delay the work.
Monday, Dec. 8 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Closure of Exit 8/U.S. 202 northbound to I-95 southbound
Detour: U.S. 202 northbound traffic destined for I-95 southbound will continue north on U.S. 202 to Weldin Road, make a right onto Weldin Road, make a right to Foulk Road, make a left onto U.S. 202 southbound and take the ramp to I-95 southbound.
Tuesday, Dec. 9 through Thursday, Dec. 11 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. each night. and Wednesday, Dec. 10 through Friday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
U.S. 202 southbound ramp to I-95 northbound
Detour: U.S. 202 southbound traffic destined for I-95 northbound will be directed to continue south of U.S. 202, make a left onto Market Street, continue on Market Street/Philadelphia Pike to Marsh Road, then make a left onto Marsh Road to the I-95 Interchange. Take the ramp to I-95 northbound.
Wednesday, Dec. 10 through Thursday, Dec. 11 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. each night
Closure of lanes on U.S. 202 northbound and southbound at the ramp to I-95 northbound.
Saturday, Dec. 13 at 10 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14
Complete closure of I-95 northbound
Detour: I-95 northbound through traffic will be detoured to Exit 8/I-95 northbound to U.S. 202 northbound, follow U.S. 202 to Naamans Road, turn right onto Naamans Road, follow Naamans Road to the I-95 Interchange.
The upcoming work involves milling, paving and installation of drainage pipes.
