Exxon gas station robbed on Concord Pike

BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, DELAWARE (6/2/2016) A man robbed an Exxon gas station in Brandywine Hundred early Wednesday, the Delaware State Police reported this morning.

The crime happened about 2:50 a.m. at 5301 Concord Pike (U.S. 202).

The robber confronted a store employee, demanding cash from the registers and implying he was armed.

The male employee refused to comply and fled to an office.

The robber then removed cash from a register and fled north on Concord Pike.

No one was injured.

The robber was described as black, 35-40 years of age, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-9 and was wearing a white t-shirt, cream colored shorts and a hat.
