DOVER, DELAWARE (4/18/2016) A 49-year-old man was assaulted during a home invasion in Dover on Sunday night, city police said this morning.
The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Willis Road. It was one of two home invasions on the block around the same time.
In the first incident, four to five intruders entered a home and threatened three occupants with handguns, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
After assaulting the 49-year-old, the intruders fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment of a minor cut to his forehead, Hoffman said.
