MILLVILLE, DELAWARE (12/2/2015) A 75-year-old man was cited for inattentive driving after his car struck the front of a building this afternoon in Millville, the Delaware State Police said.
The crash happened about 2:50 p.m. at Beebe Healthcare Rehab Services, 32550 Doc’s Place Extension.
The driver, George M. Hannisick of Ocean View, was parking a 2013 Ford Edge when his foot apparently slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, police said.
Hannisick was not injured but was taken to Beebe Healthcare’s hospital in Lewes for observation.
No one inside the building was injured and the structure was evacuated.
The Sussex County Technical Rescue Team was inspecting the structural integrity of the building.
