NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (11/27/2015) Gunshots fired at a group of people near New Castle struck several nearby homes, Delaware State Police reported this morning.
The incident happened about 11:14 a.m. Thursday in the 3000 block of New Castle Ave.
Two males fired numerous rounds toward a group of 3-6 other males gathered in the area, police said.
The victims ran north into the Rose Hill Gardens neighborhood, and the shooters ran west on Mansion Parkway.
Police said three occupied homes on New Castle Avenue were struck by bullets, but no one inside was injured.
Troopers have been unable to identify the victims or shooters and asked anyone with information to contact Detective Geoffrey Biddle at 302-365-8475.
