SMYRNA, DELAWARE (11/5/2015) A 44-year-old woman has been charged with having sex with a 13-year-old boy who was her daughter’s boyfriend, Smyrna police said today.
Elaine B. Goodman, of the first block of Moriarty St. in Dover, was arrested Wednesday.
Police began investigating in March after a report was made alleging an inappropriate relationship between Goodman and the boy, Cpl. Brandon L. Dunning said.
He said the investigation found Goodman had communicated with the boy through text messages and met him the night of March 15 and engaged in a sexual relationship.
She was charged with three counts of third-degree rape, fourth-degree rape, two counts of second-degree unlawful sexual contact, and sexual solicitation of a child.
Goodman was being held at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution near New Castle in lieu of $225,000 secured bond.
