Shots fired at motel near New Castle

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (6/15/2015) Two men are being sought by Delaware State Police after shots were fired at a man this morning at a motel north of New Castle.

The shooting happened about 7 a.m. at the Budget Inn, 3 Memorial Drive, off Route 9.

A 21-year-old man parked his vehicle in the parking lot and as he was sitting in it a man on the motel balcony opened fire.

The shots struck the vehicle but the man was not injured, police said.

The shooter and another man with him fled in an unknown vehicle.

The shooter was described as black, 25-29 years old and was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

The man with him was white, 25-29 years old and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
