MILFORD, DELAWARE (5/3/2015) The ramp from northbound U.S. 113 to northbound Route 1 at the north end of Milford is closed for the next three weeks for repairs, DelDOT announced.
The closure at Frontage Road began at 6 a.m. today and is expected to continue until midnight May 21.
Milford police are directing all northbound U.S. 113 traffic to take Johnson Road (Sussex 207) at Lincoln east to a new overpass at the south end of Milford to safely cross over Route 1 and get onto a ramp for northbound Route 1. They ask motorists to avoid Business Route 1 to prevent congestion.
All businesses on U.S. 113 (North DuPont Boulevard) will remain open during the road work.
A DelDOT contractor, Eastern Highway Specialists, will be rehabilitating the potholed bridge deck.
For the safety of motorists, DelDOT said, the Route 14/Northeast Front Street/New Wharf Road crossover on Route 1 will be closed during this project. Northbound motorists wishing to connect with Route 14 may make a U-turn at the 10th Street crossover. Southbound motorists on Route 1 may take Route 36/Cedar Beach Road to Rehoboth Boulevard and return to Route 14/Northeast Front Street.

Heading north on Rehoboth Avenue to Route 1
Motorists will make a U-turn; and turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road; and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.
Heading east on Route 14/Milford Harrington Highway to northbound Route 1
Continue onto Northwest Front Street; turn right onto Rehoboth Boulevard; turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.
