Employee robbed at Knights Inn near New Castle

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (4/9/2015) An employee was struck in the face and robbed of his wallet at the Knights Inn motel near New Castle, Delaware State Police said.

The robbery happened about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at 1200 West Ave.

The robbers were described as black males with average build, about 5-feet-9 tall, 160-185 pounds and wearing grey hooded sweatshirts and jeans.

They both struck the 67-year-old man working at the motel before entering his room and taking his wallet. The man was not injured, police said.

The pair fled in a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser with a third person driving.
