FRANKFORD, DELAWARE (1/31/2015) A father and son have been arrested on drug charges, with the son accused of having a stolen gun, state police said today.
Elijah L. Foreman Jr., 23, of Frankford, was arrested Friday when detectives stopped his Ford Explorer SUV at Route 24 and U.S. 113 in Millsboro in the course of a burglary investigation.
Troopers found a loaded .380 caliber Ruger handgun, which had been reported stolen in a residential burglary in the Ocean View area on Wednesday, and more than $2,800 in suspected drug sale proceeds, when they searched Foreman, Master Cpl. Jeffrey Hale said.
He said a search of the vehicle also uncovered 11 grams of crack cocaine, .5 grams of marijuana, ammunition, ten dosage units of counterfeit heroin and drug paraphernalia.
A police special operations team then searched Foreman’s home in the 28000 block of Blueberry Lane west of Frankford and found more drug paraphernalia, 120 dosage units of counterfeit heroin, over 42 grams of crack cocaine and over 15 grams of powder cocaine, Hale said, as well as more than $30,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Elijah L. Foreman Sr., 45, was arrested at the home and charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of cocaine in a Tier 5 quantity and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $20,250 secured bond.
Foreman Jr. was charged with receiving a stolen firearm, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and other drug and weapon counts. He was being held at Sussex Correctional in lieu of $75,000 secured bond.
