Police: 10 pounds of pot found in trunk of car

LAUREL, DELAWARE (1/30/2015) A New Jersey man stopped for speeding on U.S. 13 was arrested after troopers discovered more than 10 pounds of marijuana in the car, state police said today.

A trooper stopped the Chevrolet Malibu at U.S. 9 near Laurel about 9:10 p.m. Thursday.

The driver, George E. Bolzoni, 27, of Union City, New Jersey, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in Tier 4 quantity, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

A K-9 alerted on the contents of three sealed cardboard boxes in the trunk of the car, police said, and troopers found nine vacuum sealed packages inside  containing marijuana.

Bolzoni was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of  $20,500 secured bond.
