LAUREL, DELAWARE (12/3/2014) Former state Rep. Clifford “Biff” Lee died Tuesday at age 66.
Lee, also a former state trooper, served in the Legislature for 22 years representing the 40th district. He was first elected in 1990.
He was a life member and past president of the Laurel Fire Department. He was president of the Sussex County Volunteer Firemen’s Association in 2009/2010.
Gov. Jack Markell extended sympathies to Lee’s family.
“This is a tremendous loss for the state of Delaware and my heart goes out to the entire Lee family. Biff committed his entire life to serving others, beginning with his 20-year career as a member of the Delaware State Police followed by over two decades as a member of the Delaware General Assembly. His legacy is one of public service and advocacy and he will be truly missed,” Markell said.
