
CAMDEN, DELAWARE (8/21/2016) A 47-year-old Felton man missing for a week was found dead Saturday evening, Delaware State Police said this morning.
Family and volunteers had launched a search for William H. Ebert earlier in the day.
Police said Ebert had gone missing while riding his 2005 Suzuki GX6 motorcycle and had last been seen about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 13.
Ebert was reported found at 7:34 p.m. in a thicket of tall grass and weeds along Henry Cowgill Road.
Police said Ebert had been eastbound and was attempting to negotiate a left curve when he went off the south side along a small ditch before striking an embankment. He continued through a front yard and then went between two trees before entering the thicket, where he was ejected from the bike.
Ebert, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed about two ours as police investigated.
