MARSHALLTON, Delaware (12/15/2018) An 18-year-old woman was killed Friday when the car she was driving struck a utility pole and a tree in the 1800 block of Newport Road, the New Castle County police said.
The victim was identified as Sarai Trujillo, a senior at Dickinson High School. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 15-year-old passenger in the car was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Police said speed was the main factor in the crash.
