NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (5/3/2017) A DelDOT sign truck collided with a semi-truck near New Castle on Tuesday afternoon, according to reports from the scene.
The wreck happened when the sign truck was making a U-turn about 1 p.m. on Airport Road, just off Interstate 95.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries.
The fuel tanks of both trucks leaked fuel, bringing a response from the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.
Minquas of Newport, Christiana and Belvedere fire companies also responded, as well as Delaware State Police.
Airport Road was closed in the area while police investigated and the wreckage was cleared.
