

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/19/2016) An ex-boyfriend has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a Wilmington woman found earlier this week in a trash receptacle, city police said this morning.
The body of Miprecious L. Hoskins, 21, of Wilmington, was found Wednesday in the 800 block of E. 22nd St.
The ex-boyfriend, Idrees Merritt, 20, of Wilmington, also is charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
He was to be held at Young Correctional Institution without bail.
Merritt had been taken into custody Thursday by a police tactical team in the 2100 block of Locust St. as a person of interest in the case, police said.
